Summers Cruel Blow
The summer is drawing to a close
We’ve nearly used all our clothes
We weathered rain, wind and a storm
It really has become the UK norm
But as August slowly slips away
We remember the harvest is on its way
But most of all let’s stop and think
Other countries sit on the brink
As fires ravage their beautiful land
Where tourists enjoyed sun kissed sand
So whilst our summer has been quite dire
At least our homes are safe from raging fire
