Let Your Inner Flame Burn Bright
Candle candle burning bright
Flames, like fingers, spread the light
Your flame flickers and dances around
Yet you make no sound
That tiny flame holds a hidden power
Whilst the light diminishes by the hour
Connection can pass the glow along
The life of the flame now prolonged
A gentle breeze enters the room
The flame flickers, but resumes
A brief but mesmerising dance
That could move you to a trance
Your colours are rich and ever-changing
Vibrant and so wide ranging
But slowly the light begins to fade
Until the light has died away
At birth our candle comes alive
Our flame begins to slowly rise
The winds of life can change our course
Life is not something we can rehearse
So let your inner flame burn bright and strong
We really don’t know if it will burn for long
So spread your colours far and wide
Never be afraid to show what’s on the inside
