The River of Life
Energy can ebb and flow
There are times when everything pours in
And often, like rain and tides, we’ve no control
Life can throw us off track
Like a river that's burst its banks
Overwhelmed, not sure where to turn
Waters bubbling as they pass
Remember it won’t last
The rapid flow eases off
Its energy slows
Nothing lasts forever
Rapids come and they pass
So, sit upon those river banks
Watch it wind on by
Solace lies in those moments
